BELLE PLAINE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION EVALUATIONS
A one-day evaluation will be held for boys and girls in grades 5-8. If your child wants to play on a team, please read the information below about the Belle Plaine Basketball Association and the 2023-2024 basketball season.
BPBA: The purpose of developing a traveling team is to create playing opportunities beyond school programs. All athletes who try out for a traveling team should do so knowing that the program's objectives are to be competitive and improve overall skills.
Expectations for a BPBA basketball player:
Grades 5 & 6 - Community Ed Basketball Changes
The Community Ed Saturday league is not allowing association players to take part in the league. This change will mean that BPBA players are not required to play Community Ed. BPBA players will still receive two practices per week, along with association tournaments.

Boys Grade 8 - 4:00 pm Girls Grade 8 - 4:20 pm
Boys Grade 6 - 4:40 pm Girls Grade 6 - 5:00 pm
Boys Grade 7 - 5:20 pm Girls Grade 7 - 5:40 pm
Boys Grade 5 - 6:00 pm Girls Grade 5 - 6:20 pm
** Please note that the heavily weighted scrimmage portion of the tryout may not occur at the make-up tryout due to attendance numbers
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled tryout begins.
The tryout will last approximately 1.50 to 1.75 hours.

If a player doesn't make a team, Volunteer Hour checks will be shredded, not returned.
