Winter Season 2025-26
Belle Plaine Travel Basketball is a competitive basketball program dedicated to skill development and team play. Our season runs from November through February/March, offering players a structured environment to grow and compete. Participants will have the opportunity to refine their skills and take part in several tournaments throughout the season. We emphasize learning the game, working as a team, and striving for excellence on and off the court.
Ages
3rd grade through 8th grade for both boys and girls.
When
The season starts in early November and will go until the end of February- mid March depending on the age of the team. There are some variations with the junior high age groups due to their junior high season.
Where
Practices are typically held either at Oakcrest or the Belle Plaine High School Gyms.
Practices
Typically, 2 practices a week for 4-6th grade (slightly less for 3rd grade). 7th/8th grade will limited practices during their junior high school ball season.
Games
Tournament schedules will vary based on age and skill level of the team. This is both at the coach's discretion as well as the board's. Typically, teams will compete in the either the same number of tournaments as their grade or potential 1 more or less based on tournament budget as well as coach/board discretion. For example, 6th grade would complete in 5-6 tournaments in a season. 4th grade 3-4 tournaments in a season. Most tournaments are one day however there are some that are 2 day. Tournaments are local and/or metro based.

Are parents allowed to attend tryouts/evaluations?
Parents are not allowed in the building or gym during the tryouts/evaluations.
If I am not able to attend a tryout, what should I do?
If you're not able to attend one or either tryout/evaluation dates, please email the BPBA board at Belleplainebasketball@gmail.com
What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee covers a portion of the shooting shirt, the facility fees for use of the gyms and all the tournament fees.

Tryout/Evaluation dates/times: Sat. Sept 13th and Sat. Sept 20th ** It is highly encouraged to attend both try outs.
We are aware for some groups there could be a softball conflict(s) if this is your child be contact the board and arrangements will be worked out.
No tryout for 3rd Grade *** unless numbers requires this.
***In the event registration numbers do not require a second tryout/evaluation the BPBA will send an email to those registrants.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your tryout/evaluation time and bring Volunteer Check!
***If player does not make a team check will be shred.
Boys Grade 4- 4pm Girls Grade 4- 4:20pm

prices: all pricing is subject to change due to number of participates and other factors but is tentatively as follows:
3-4th Grade: $125
5th Grade: $375
6-8th Grade: $450
